The challenge
New parents reach for a tracker while holding a baby, half-asleep, often mid-handover. The app had to work with one thumb in the dark, keep a clear record of the day, and feel reassuring rather than clinical.
Built for one hand at 3am
New parents reach for a tracker while holding a baby, half-asleep, mid-handover. The core interaction is a dial you start and stop a feed with using one thumb, with everyday controls kept within reach — it works in the dark.

Warm, not clinical
A medical tool shouldn't feel cold at the hardest hour. We built a soft identity around an otter mascot with Pink and Blue themes, so the record of a long night feels reassuring rather than sterile.

One shared record
Feeds on either side, bottles, pumping, diapers, sleep, weight and solids all pull into one day, with a weekly summary and a nighttime view. A handover screen and iCloud sharing keep every caregiver on the same record.

How we did it
- 01
Designed the core interaction around a dial you can start and stop a feed with one hand, with everyday controls kept within thumb reach.
- 02
Built a warm, soft identity — an otter mascot, Pink and Blue themes — so a medical tool feels human at the hardest hour.
- 03
Pulled the day together: feeds on either side, bottles, pumping, diapers, sleep, weight, solids and more, with a weekly summary and a nighttime record.
- 04
Added a handover screen and per-baby logs, with iCloud sharing so caregivers keep one shared record.
The outcome
A baby tracker that meets parents in the moment they need it — one-handed, calm, and warm. Live on the App Store, and a clean demonstration of design-led product work from brand through build.
